San Miguel de Allende and Santa Fe, New Mexico are now officially “Sister Cities”

 “We are looking forward to build bridges instead of walls, and that is why we want to consolidate the twinning that we are signing today with San Miguel de Allende, we want to promote cultural, business and tourist exchanges”, said the Mayor of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Javier Gonzáles, during the signing of the official document that twins the cities of San Miguel and Santa Fe.

The agreement was signed in a solemn session, during the official announcement of an equestrian competition between the clubs, Otomí Grand Prix and HIPICO Santa Fe, which will take place in 2019 in San Miguel de Allende.

Mayor Ricardo Villarreal García, highlighted the strengthening that will represent for both cities in different areas.

Several officials and other personalities were present at the event, such as the Executive Director of Tourism, Randy Randall; Fernando Olea, chef of Cafe Sazon; Brian Gonzales, Guy McElvain and Sharon McElvain, owners of “HIPICO Santa Fe”; James Campbell, chief operating officer of “HIPICO Santa Fe” and Sparrow Campbell, protocol director of “HIPICO Santa Fe”.
