On Monday, March 19, in two different events, four people were murdered in San Francisco del Rincón, Guanajuato.
At 5 o’clock in the afternoon Óscar Omar, 29, was killed by motorcyclists outside his house on Calle Allende.
At 9:40 in the evening, in the San José de la Presa neighborhood, three people were killed, two identified as José and José Luis, 32 years old, in addition to a 15-year-old boy.
According to a report issued by local authorities, four men got out of a vehicle and knocked on the door of a house on Calle Francisco Villa, the teenager opened and he was shot, then they entered and murdered the two men.
On the night of Wednesday, March 21, at the “Salón de Fiestas California” in Purísima del Rincón, Guanajuato, the father of the Mayor of San Francisco del Rincón and 7 other people were killed and at least 20 more were injured in an attack with long weapons.
It is presumed that the murderers arrived on site on a motorcycle and in a van, they walked right into the “Salón de Fiestas California” and immediately opened fire.
So far, only 6 of the 8 deceased have been identified:
- Salvador Lara Zermeño
- Alfredo López García
- Juan Mata Ramírez
- Tereso Correa Torres
- José de Jesus Serrano Pérez
- Antonio Zavala Barrón
No arrests have been made so far in relation with these murders.
