Querétaro to invest 33 million pesos in public schools

Querétaro Governor Francisco Domínguez Servién announced an investment of 33 million pesos (1.7 million USD), for educational infrastructure works that will benefit thousands of students of all levels in the state.

The announcement was made as the governor delivered finished projects in two schools in Colonia Menchaca II and brke ground for the construction of the new Colegio de Bachilleres number 17.

At Menchaca II, two schools were built, the technical secondary school number 12 and the Lázaro Cárdenas primary school, with an ivnestment of 16 million pesos from the state and federal governments, through the program known as Escuelas al Cien (Schools 100 per cent).

The governor, explained that 8 million pesos were used in the technical secondary school, which will benefit 750 students in the region.

As part of  the school campus, a soccer field and a cafeteria were built, and the restrooms were renovated. A general roofing job was carried out in the building, the walkways and ramps were adapted, and the exterior lights were changed.
