Candidate proposes more air connecivity for the state of Guanajuato

The candidate for Governor of the State, Gerardo Sánchez, spoke about the need to expand or replace the existing airport in Guanajuato. He explained that due to the large number of flights, the various airlines that offer them and the demand for passengers it could be necessary to make the airport bigger.

He expressed that it is necessary for Guanajuato to be at the forefront in terms of demand for the many consolidated companies that come to market, provide services or products in the business sector.

“We have to invest to improve our air terminal facilities, this will allow us to energize and reactivate the state economy,” he added.

In this sense, he said that if necessary, San Miguel de Allende would need to build an airport for its own private transit, as it is a highly tourist destination and internationally known.

“We have to find the way to empower it, how we can do it and get the investment necessary to detonate more jobs and reactivate the different regions of the state of Guanajuato,” Gerardo Sánchez concluded.
