Land assigned by local government to build new IMSS clinic in Guanajuato

The Secretary of the City Council Carlos Torres Ramírez, informed that the Municipality of Guanajuato concluded the liberation of streets for the construction of a new clinic of the Mexican Institute of the Social Security (IMSS), a project that pretends to be carried out in the South zone of the state capital. As soon as the IMSS authorities endorse the project to release federal resources which are estimated to be close to 700 million pesos.

“On our part, nothing is missing, we already delivered everything they asked for in executive projects, project work and street release; only the IMSS final authorization is pending, “he said.

Although almost a year ago, the Municipality approved the donation of the 300-hectare property in the south of the city, there is still no date to begin the tender of the work, the secretary said that the situation is complex due to the resources required for this project .

“It is a long and complex process, we have already delivered all the files and documents required, we hope that from one moment to another the official announcement will be made, the resources will be released, and the construction of the clinic can start” he stressed.

It is estimated that the new IMSS clinic will serve more than 70,000 beneficiaries, this project is necessary for the state capital, especially for low income residents of the southern area.
