Lectures of critical and reflective reading on animal poetry and a peaceful protest against bullfighting were held in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, where activists and other anti-bullfighting enthusiasts joined in order to raise awareness of the need to abolish such cruel practices in this city.

In this way the founder of AnimaNaturalis International, Dr. Leonora Esquivel, and journalist Ruth Toledano, met in a talk about the need to leave in the archive of history the cruel traditions that involve animal cruelty and animal abuse by the human being.

“For more than 200 years it was possible to prohibit bullfighting, it is time to do the same in the 21st century, besides it is a shame that a site considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO as San Miguel de Allende , celebrates brutal acts where an animal is tortured to death, “said Leonora Esquivel.
