Airbus will invest 240 million pesos in Querétaro

The government of the state of Querétaro completed the installation of a new maintenance center for helicopters in the state, property of the Airbus company, with an investment of 240,000,000 pesos (12.2 million USD).

In the framework of the Farnborough International Airshow, held in England, the head of the Executive in Querétaro, Francisco Dominguez Servien, together with state authorities who made the trip to England with him, met with Mesrob Karalekian, head of Airbus in the Region, and Julien Negreo, Chief of Commerce for Latin America of the company.

At the meeting, he mentioned that the center will allow the development of a maintenance plant, in this case for helicopters, within the state of Querétaro, in addition to an increase in the production capacity of the Airbus plant that is located in the municipality of Colón, Querétaro.

According to the information issued by the state government, as part of the official agenda, the authorities of Queretaro also met with members of MEDEF, the first network of entrepreneurs in France, who reaffirmed the certainty of investment and business they already have in Querétaro.

The commercial mission signed in November 2017 was also followed up with Medef, an organization that is integrated in more than 95% by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
