More Japanese investment comes to Guanajuato

“The Japanese company Aisin Automotive, is the first to be installed in the Marabis Comonfort Industrial Park, located in the municipality of Comonfort”, informed the government of Guanajuato.

The Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development announced that with an investment of 30 million US dollars and the generation of more than 300 jobs, the company will be dedicated to the production of door frames, handles, central pillars, sunroofs, window regulators and exterior handles for the automotive-auto parts sector. Among its customers are General Motors and Toyota.

The head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), Guillermo Romero Pacheco, said that during the present state administration has delivered outstanding numbers in terms of attraction of foreign investment and employment generation.

“Today Guanajuato has the foundations to continue growing, with great challenges ahead, talking about FDI, employment, exports and of course economic growth, Guanajuato is one of the first five states in this category” the Secretary said.

“Among this state’s administration great achievements, there is the development and consolidation of 35 industrial parks within the state of Guanajuato”, he continued.

Romero Pacheco added that eight out of ten foreign companies that arrived to Mexico in the last six years settled in the Bajío region.

Aisin Automotive is part of Aisin Group, which in turn belongs to the Toyota group of companies. Its corporate offices are located in the city of Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. Aisin Group concentrates more than 200 consolidated companies.
