San Miguel de Allende joined the local edition of the national fair in commemoration of the world day against human trafficking, an event that takes place in Guanajuato since 2014 and seeks to bring information to the people of Guanajuato and tourists to help prevent, treat and combat this crime.
The Undersecretary of Linkage and Political Development of the Government Secretariat, Martín López Camacho, who attended on behalf of the State Governor, Miguel Márquez Márquez, said that the current state administration has made emphasis on the care and prevention of trafficking in persons. through the Human Rights Directorate and other state agencies.
He added that, events such as the National Fair in Commemoration of the World Day Against Human Trafficking seek to prevent these criminal practices through information.
The state official thanked the participation of the agencies of the three government orders and the Municipal DIF of San Miguel de Allende, for their support for the organization of this fair.
Recreational, informative and prevention activities such as breast cancer screenings by the Seguro Popular, as well as birth and marriage certificates, delivered by the Mobile Units of the Civil Registry of Guanajuato.
These activities were carried out with the participation of several agencies: National Institute of Migration, National Institute of Social Development, Federal Preventive Police State Coordination Guanajuato, State Council of Social Participation for the Prevention, Attention and Eradication of Trafficking in Persons in the State, Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, Office of the Human Rights Procurator in the State, Government Secretariat, Attorney General’s Office, Ministry of Social and Human Development, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Health, Secretariat of Education of Guanajuato, Institute for Women Guanajuatenses, State System for the Integral Development of the Family; and the Municipal System for the Integral Development of the Family of San Miguel de Allende.
