Elementary teacher in Mexico investigated for sexual abuse of 15 children

One more case of massive sexual abuse against inocent children in Mexico… What are the authorities doing to prevent these horrible crimes?

The state of Tabasco’s Ministry of Education (SE) announced an open investigation against an elementary teacher who was recently accused of sexually abusing his students. The children’s parents reported 15 cases before Villahermosa authorities.

In a press release, the institution claimed that the alleged abuse had been committed within the facility of the Carlos Pellicer Cámara elementary school in the state capital of Villahermosa.

“From the moment the institution knew about the parents’ complaints, the Legal Affairs Division of the Coordination of Elementary Education sent a committee to the education center and began the corresponding attention protocol, which encompasses psychological support for the students affected and legal advice for their tutors,” the dependency revealed.

Both students and parents were offered psychological support. In the meantime, as part of the precautionary measures, the teacher who was accused of sexual abuse was temporarily removed from his work center.

“The ministry will lend its support for any legal investigations undertaken by the children’s parents for the clarification of facts,” informed the institution.

Last Tuesday, the parents informed that a professor –who presumably taught in fourth grade– had sexually abused 15 children, though not all parents had filed a report before local authorities.
