The state of Guanajuato is preparing to host the first aeronautical complex in which not only will design and build sports aircraft for recreation and tourism, but also will have a school for pilots and aircraft maintenance workshops.
Currently IK Aerospace Group, Investment Promotion Company is in talks with the state government, to acquire a piece of land that allows the installation of this aerodrome that requires an area of approximately 100 hectares and that would become a milestone for the history of the country’s aviation industry.
As reported, the Guanajuato municipalities where the plant could be installed are León, San Miguel de Allende or Purísima del Rincón.
IK Aerospace Group will undertake the fabrication of the product known as Hawk 2, a two-seater aircraft that is already under development after the experimental prototype called Hawk 1, manufactured by Horizontec and that has a standard certificate officially issued to indicate that the design of this type of aircraft complies with international standards.
