Life-size Nativity will decorate San Miguel’s CIvic Plaza

A great life-size Nativity will decorate the Christmas Tree in the Plaza Cívica of San Miguel de Allende, created exclusively by a local San Miguel artist: the sculptor Hermes Arroyo.

For the last eight years, Hermes, who is a master sculptor, has been responsible for creating and installing the Christmas Nativities that decorate the city of Querétaro every year, one is in the Zen Garden and the other in the Government Palace, is now in charge of this life-size Nativity that will be exhibited at the Plaza de Armas (or Civic Plaza) of San Miguel de Allende.

On Wednesday December 5th, the expert started working at the Civic Plaza, along with 6 of his assistants, wood, bales of stubble and cardboard, as well as tools, 6 life-size sculptures and Christmas lights in order to create the Nativity that this year will be placed right next to the Christmas Tree at the site.

Arroyo was the man in charge of the Nativities that the state of Queretaro installed last year at the Vatican, which by the way, were praised by Pope Francis.
