During his morning press conference on Jan 26th, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that some people are denouncing the clandestine takeovers, but some are participating with criminal groups.
However, AMLO said that most citizens do not want to get involved with huachicoleros, they are actually denouncing and filling the complaints, as it happened in Hidalgo and other states in Mexico.”
The president said that most gas stations have maintained a reasonable price for the fuel according to the profit margin that has been established in the market.
AMLO concluded; “the fuel distributors have behaved well, in general, they have not taken advantage of the circumstances, there are very few who have maintained high prices. ”
