Gasoline arrives by train to Guanajuato

Starting on Monday Jan. 21, gasoline will be arriving in Guanajuato by train. The fuel is coming from other Mexican states, and also from Texas USA; to the railroad station of San José Iturbide, in order to increase the supply for the state.

This was reiterated by the governor of Guanajuato, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, who also explained that the closure of the pipeline that exploded in the state of Hidalgo, will affect the state of Guanajuato, mainly because this pipeline goes directly to the Ing. Antonio M. Amor refinery, in Salamanca.

However, the governor presumed that the supply in Guanajuato will be regularized little by little and that so far 30 percent of the 600 gas stations statewide are working normally.

Regarding the explosion of the Hidalgo pipeline, the governor of Guanajuato said that his administration is working hard to meet the gasoline demand of the population, because they don’t want another tragedy in their homestate.
