Is former Starbucks CEO running for the U.S. presidency?

As the line of contenders to challenge President Donald Trump grows daily, Schultz harshly criticizes Trump, the coffee expert businessman who turned Starbucks into a global brand is weighing the idea of an independent bid.

Schultz says he does not care about people’s criticism, that if he decides to run as an independent candidate in the 2020 presidential race (as he is considering), he could be indirectly helping President Donald Trump to win the re-election.

Kevin M. Kruse, a history professor at Princeton University, responded to Schultz’s announcement on Twitter saying: “I am an American political historian and I can assure you that the only thing you will achieve as a independent center, Is  helping to re-elect Donald Trump. “

According to Forbes, Schultz plans to cross the country for the next three months as part of a book tour before deciding whether to formally participate in the race for president.

Howard Schultz doesn’t have the “guts” to run for President! Watched him on @60Minutes last night and I agree with him that he is not the “smartest person.” Besides, America already has that! I only hope that Starbucks is still paying me their rent in Trump Tower!
