Meet Ed Clancy

Ed Clancy has been a friend to many U.S. Expats for a number of years.  Prior to coming to San Miguel de Allende in 2001, Mr. Clancy was a corporate lawyer and a CFO.  In 2006 he was appointed United States Consular Agent in SMA, a position he held until announcing his retirement late last year.

His 12 years of being the local representative of the United States gives him a unique perspective of the relationship between the U.S and Mexico.

On January 29th, Ed Clancy will be our features speaker at the Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel.  Mr. Clancy will speak directly about the multitude of challenges Americans have as they assimilate into a life in Mexico.  Who can you turn to for assistance and what kind of help can you reasonably expect?   What should and what must we do for ourselves?  These are just a few items he will talk about.  With over a dozen years sitting at the Consular Agent’s desk, Ed Clancy has heard it all.
