Security operation carried out in Guanajuato night clubs

With the presence of eight preventive police officers and seven inspectors of the Secretariat of Public Safety of Guanajuato, a security operative was deployed to verify the correct operation in night clubs, bars, cantinas and liquor stores in the historic center and the southern area of ​​the state capital.

The operation also included establishments selling alcohol in the San José de Cervera, San José de la Luz and Santa Teresa communities. In downtown Guanajuato, 46 bars, canteens and restaurant-bars were inspected, where absolutely no irregularities were detected.

The Director of Supervision, Marco Figueroa Sierra, explained that the purpose of these actions is to verify that the establishments selling alcoholic beverages operate in accordance with the law, as well as to check that there are no minors consuming alcoholic beverages in these places.

In the southern zone, five establishments with beer sales were also inspected on Calle Roble, Avenida Lomas de San Francisco and Avenida Santa Fe; as well as six businesses in the rural area to the south of the city.

As part of the operation, the General Directorate of Transit, Mobility and Transportation installed an Operational Breathalyzer Checkpoint at the roundabout of the government palace on Paseo de la Presa and on Avenida Juárez, near Mercado Hidalgo.

The head of this municipal unit, Luis Rivera Almanza, reported that 80 breathalyzer tests were conducted, out of which nine turned out to be positive, and so the drivers were arrested and taken to “El Torito” temporary detention facility.
