Thousands march in Mexico City to demand AMLO’s resignation

MEXICO CITY.- Thousands of citizens attended the so-called “march of silence” in the central lanes of Paseo de la Reforma, one of the most important avenues in the nation’s capital, to demand the resignation of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The walk started from the Angel of Independence and continued all the way down to the Monumento a la Revolución on Sunday May 5th, 2019.

“Out with AMLO!”
“Out with AMLO! Out with AMLO! “the protesters chanted.

Others shouted “Mexico! Mexico! Mexico!”.

So, the march was not as silent as it was expected for a “Marcha del Silencio” (march of silence).

At a certain moment, citizens participating in the march verbally confronted supporters of AMLO.

Before the demonstration, those demanding the resignation of the head of the Executive, who wear white, began to concentrate on the monument to the Angel to Independence to where the supporters of López Obrador arrived who said they were “reporters” of YouTube channels.

AMLO’s followers (also known as “Chairos”) accused the demonstrators of being provocateurs.

Hundreds of users posted photos on social networks in which literally thousands of people can be seen marching against AMLO:
