Experimental art school to open in Guanajuato

Guanajuato.- The Guanajuato State Government through the State Institute of Culture, builds the ‘Experimental Art School’ with an investment of more than 9 million pesos.

The School is located on Calle Pastita 148 in downtown Guanajuato, right by the Olga Costa Art Museum – José Chávez Morado. This project has as a priority the strengthening of the cultural infrastructure in the state.

The creation of this site consolidates the training actions of specialized technicians in different disciplines of the arts.

The building will feature spaces for workshops on conservation of paper and ceramics, easel painting, stage lighting, museography, winery, health modules, reception area, carpentry, as well as areas to accommodate researchers and guest speakers for the training of museographers, curators, room assistants, internal guides, educators, documentalists and restorers. And also in the field of theater, there will be training courses for technicians in stage lighting, audio, stage, props, electricians and carpenters among others.

The school’s facilities will open their doors next month to the general public, offering different disciplines linked to the promotion, research, dissemination and development of culture in the State of Guanajuato.

For its construction, the building of three levels and ground floor received a total investment of 9,109,000 pesos from the state government.

Built on an area of ​​146 square meters.
530 square meters of construction.
The building has five work areas with an average area of ​​65 square meters each, warehouses, sanitary modules, reception area, covered garage, elevator and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom residence with living room and kitchenette .
The building is equipped with hydraulic, sanitary, electrical, closed circuit television, air conditioning, lightning and voice and data systems.
