San Miguel de Allende.- One dead and one more seriously injured, was the result of a shooting in a grocery store located on Calzada de la Estación, on the corner with Avenida Guadalupe, in SMA on Monday June 10.
The facts were recorded minutes before 3:00 in the morning and reported to 911. The caller told the opertor that two men were shot in the place known as La Lola.
Municipal police arrived at the scene, notified the ministerial authorities and asked for the support of paramedics, who transfer the injured to hospital.
According to preliminary data, a man identified as José “N”, apparently the owner of the business, died on the spot; while the other seriously injured man was identified as Germán “N”, was treated by paramedics and transferred to a hospital.
Ministerial authorities and experts from the Attorney General’s Office arrived at the place, cordoned off the area and carried out the proper investigations. They collected more than 30 used shells at the scene of the crime.
The municipal authority announced that the business was dedicated to the illegal sale of alcoholic beverages outside of the established hours.
It was also reported that minutes after the shooting; the emergency corps attended the report of a truck on fire on the Manuel Zavala near Las Alamedas, where no injuries were reported and it is still unknown if the incident was related to the homicide at La Lola.
No arrests have been made so far in relation to these incidents.
