After the resignation of Carlos Urzúa, who was secretary of the Treasury and Public Credit in Mexico, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador appointed Arturo Herrera Gutiérrez as his substitute.

With the resignation of Urzúa the Mexican Stock Exchange fell 1.22% and the Mexican peso also.
