“Anarchists” injure a police officer and a paramedic during the October 2 march

Protesters commemorated the 51st anniversary of the student massacre of 1968 in Tlatelolco, CDMX.

Demonstrators held a march this afternoon from the Plaza de las Tres Culturas to the Zócalo during the 51st anniversary of the massacre of students in 1968.

While the group advanced along Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas, some of the protesters dressed in black and wearing masks, started to spray paint walls and sidewalks of the Eje Central.

Other members of the so-called “Anarquistas” started throwing plastic bottles, and minutes later attacks on reporters were reported.

A police officer and a paramedic were badly injured. And at this point, some of the masked protesters threw firecrackers at police officers who were protecting the streets of the Historic Center.
