Saving Lives: Every Child. Every Year.

Children in the rural areas of the San Miguel de Allende municipality are more likely to face different challenges to their health and have less access to care when compared with children in urban areas.

Although San Miguel de Allende was named the best city in the world in 2019, there are over 500 rural communities with an approximate population of 56,000 children under the age of 18 who have little or no access to affordable health and dental care. This is where Patronato pro Niños fills the most important need.

Dedicated to providing medical, dental, nutritional, and psychological services to underserved children, Patronato pro Niños believes that all children deserve to have a healthy and happy childhood.  Nory Contractor, Executive Director of Patronato Pro Niños will speak at the Rotary Club on Tuesday, November 26th, about the services that are provided to the children of the greater San Miguel de Allende region. From the Patronato pro Niños headquarters in San Miguel de Allende to the fleet of mobile clinics that visit children in the campos, you’ll be inspired and touched as you hear about the work of this organization.

In 2020, Patronato Pro Niños will turn 50 years old. Nory will share with us what it takes to serve over 8,000 children yearly and be an outstanding NGO in a city with the most NGO´s in Mexico per capita. Originally from Cuba, Nory Contractor spent 46 years in Miami, Florida, before coming to San Miguel de Allende almost five years ago. She previously held positions at Humana and United Healthcare, as well as Campus President at the National School of Technology.

Please join the Midday Rotary Club of San Miguel de Allende for this inspiring program,  Tuesday, November 26th.  Doors open at 9 AM, the meeting begins at 9:30 AM with the presentation scheduled between 9:45 and 10:15 AM. We’re located at Los Arcos at #27 Sterling Dickenson.
