Senior citizens to receive economic support in Dolores Hidalgo

Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato (March 23rd, 2020).- At the proposal of the mayor Miguel Ángel Rayas, the city council approved to allocate 5 million pesos to the Emerging Program to Support the elderly people of Dolores Hidalgo. Each beneficiary will receive 2,000 pesos.

Every adult over the age of 60 who enrolls in the program and who meets the requirements will receive this economic incentive to protect themselves inside their homes while the contingency period passes.

This support is for adults who do not have social security, or for those who sell on the street to survive.

The municipal president Miguel Ángel Rayas Ortiz presented the opinion in which he proposed the creation of the emerging Senior Support Program to support them with an economic incentive that allows them to take shelter in their homes for the duration of the contingency situation.

The City Council secretary, Jennifer Rodríguez Cárdenas, read the opinion, in which she emphasized the interest and the need to support the most unprotected and prone to suffer from the coranavirus pandemic with a financial resource.

With this unanimously approved initiative, $2,000 pesos will be given to each senior citizen from Dolores Hidalgo, who meets the requirements.

This program was approved unanimously with a resource of five million pesos, which will be delivered to older adults who do not have a formal income, who go out to the streets to carry out some type of sale, who do not have the support from a relative, who do not have any type of social security, they will also have to sign a letter of commitment, stating that they will remain inside their homes for as long as possible.
