The municipality will meet the protocols for the reactivation of sectors covered by the orange traffic light

Municipal authorities in San Miguel de Allende announced that before the change to orange traffic light in Guanajuato the prohibition on the opening of cinemas, theaters, and centers of worship, as well as festivities and massive cultural, social and civic events will be maintained; likewise, the common recreation or social areas in subdivisions and condominiums will continue to be suspended.

It was ensured that next Monday, August 10, the new protocols for the reopening of some economic activities contemplated in the orange traffic light will be submitted to the council for discussion, so that these come into force on August 12.

Public sports facilities, as well as saunas, steamers, and showers commonly used in gyms and private clubs, will also be kept closed.

It was also stressed that the churches and centers of worship will remain closed and it will be next week when there will be meetings with their representatives, to analyze the protocols that allow their partial and orderly reopening.

On the other hand, gyms and private sports clubs, spas, swimming pools, and spas will be reopened, all of these with a capacity of people determined, by the Civil Protection Directorate, of approximately 30% of their installed capacities.

The public markets and tianguis will increase their capacity to 50%, strictly for local merchants. The prohibition of the participation of merchants from other municipalities is maintained.

The hotel industry will also increase 50% of the rooms per establishment.

It is important to mention that for these money orders to start operating, they must obtain the Municipal Health First certification, for which the courses taught by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) must be accredited. In the same way, they must obtain the Distinct Guanajuato Sano from the Secretary of Tourism of the state.
