San Miguel de Allende.- In the cultural exchange program ‘Welcome to the Heart of Mexico’, Bolivia confirmed its participation in 2021 with samples of literature, cinema, gastronomy, dance, music and crafts typical of that country.
It will be at the beginning of August, within the framework of its Independence, when a delegation from that Andean country arrives in San Miguel de Allende to promote its culture with artistic expressions, announced Julio Aliaga Lairana, business manager and head of the Bolivian Embassy in Mexico.
“I have come to be able to exchange ideas and reach a work agreement so that part of the Bolivian culture can be represented in an activity that the citizens of San Miguel de Allende can enjoy and learn about as they are doing with other countries. I am honored and happy to have this opportunity as a country and as an embassy, ”he said.
The director of Culture and Traditions, Paulina Cadena mentioned: “We are very pleased that Bolivia is coming to San Miguel de Allende, it is a country that has a lot to contribute.” The director of Economic Development, International Relations and NGOs, Francisco Garay, was also present at this meeting.
The other invited countries are Peru, Canada, Italy, Russia, Hungary, Uruguay, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Paraguay; the representative of the latter country, Esteban Bedoya González, signed together with Mayor Luis Alberto Villarreal García the first agreement for cultural exchange between countries on August 28, 2020.
