San Miguel de Allende, Gto., November 3, 2020.- The Directorate of Civil Protection, attached to the Ministry of Public Security, closed the BBVA bank located in Plaza La Luciérnaga due to the lack of prevention measures against Covid-19.

The 911 Emergency Call Center received a report in which they indicated that Bancomer did not comply with the prevention measures against the coronavirus, when the elements arrived they corroborated the facts.

When carrying out the pertinent inspection, they detected an agglomeration of people inside – ATM area – and outside without maintaining a healthy distance in the waiting line; In addition to not having any sanitary filter for admission, such as taking the temperature or providing antibacterial gel; likewise, users do not use the dispenser at the entrance of the bank.

For this reason, the authorities proceed to the temporary closure of the property due to non-compliance with the prevention, care, and containment measures of Covid-19.

It should be noted that on April 17, the Municipal Government held a meeting with representatives of the banking sector where they agreed that they would monitor the supervision of workers and users abiding by the protocols to avoid contagion risks.
