San Miguel de Allende.- In order to avoid as much as possible the increase in the number of infections by Covid-19 in this municipality, the local government decided to carry out a series of new measures that came into effect on Monday, January 11th.
These decisions were taken at a virtual working meeting between the municipal president Luis Alberto Villareal García, and the Health Cabinet, in agreement with the Secretary of State for Health.
The hours of sale of alcoholic beverages in restaurants will be until 8:00 at night, maintaining their respective service closures until 10:30 at night, retaining a capacity of only 50 percent.
Likewise, keeping ‘Ley Seca’ for the sale of alcohol in closed bottles from Friday from 5:00 in the afternoon and extending to Saturday and Sunday, resuming the sale, from Monday at 12: 00 noon.
In addition, sanitary filters will be reinforced in the different accesses to the city to prevent the mobility of the virus from one city to another, and the celebration of events of any kind will also be suspended; social or business events, conventions, and festivities, this, in accordance with state and federal provisions.
Finally, it also stands out that the hotels will continue to operate at 50 percent of their capacity, and 30 percent of capacity for worship centers, spas, and parks, while only merchants residing in such a way may be installed in markets and flea markets. permanent in the municipality.
Finally, it was highlighted that non-compliance with the sanitary provisions and protocols will result in the cancellation of the “Primero Salud” certification, thereby forcing the permanent closure of businesses.
