The Guanajuato Prosecutor’s Office said that the investigations into the persecution and shooting registered on the San Miguel de Allende – Querétaro highway continue.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.- Fear has invaded the residents of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, one of the most visited cities in all of Mexico, after persecution and shooting were recorded over, that presumably left 15 people dead.

The Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office confirmed that at 10:26 p.m. this Friday, March 12th, the Municipal Police received a report of the theft of a white Chevrolet Avalanche vehicle.

“Near the community of La Hormiga, the crew of the vehicle, who were carrying long weapons, made detonations against the Public Security agents, receiving several impacts,” says the official report.

The agents of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guanajuato ruled out that any person had been arrested and even pointed out that, despite the armed attack and overturning, the agents of the Municipal Police of San Miguel de Allende did not present injuries that put their lives in danger.

Regarding the existence of a large group of people who died at the shooting, the state authorities declared: “we do not have that report at the moment … because it is an investigation in process.”

Despite the secrecy of the authorities of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Guanajuato, unofficial information has emerged in social networks in which they refer to detonations of different size firearms and even point out that throughout the half-hour that the rumblings lasted, there was a very strong detonation which they thought was a bazooka

Between two cranes they dragged the three closed vans, one of them notoriously damaged by the gunshots in the bodywork of the front part.

In social networks of the residents of the communities of Tinaja de Rodríguez and Palmita declared that they live in fear and anxiety due to the insecurity that prevails in the state of Guanajuato.

“When you hear one or two detonations, you do not pay attention, but when you hear non-stop gunshots for more than 30 minutes, then you get afraid of what might happen to you or your family”, one witness posted on Facebook.

“I have relatives near the scene who tell me that they went to see in the morning and the Army was guarding the area and the truth is that the people who live in the area did see the bodies lying on the ground all over the place “.

Likewise, three photographs circulate on social networks with at least two cranes and three trucks being towed.
