The administrative equipment of the Civil Protection Directorate was damaged by the intense rains registered during the weekend; for this reason, they report the suspension of procedures while they define their new care center.

Until 5 o’clock in the afternoon this Sunday, May 16th, the Ministry of Public Security had not determined where will the Directorate of Civil Protection provide administrative services.

This was reported by the director of Civil Protection, Josafat Enríquez López, “in the week it will be reported where -the offices- will be located and where they can carry out all their procedures.” Likewise, the telephone number for attention and information on all pending procedures will be announced promptly.

After the rains reaching stagnations of more than a meter in height in some areas of the city, the Civil Protection personnel spent 24 hours helping citizens throughout San Miguel, and when they returned to their headquarters, they realized that the facility was completely flooded.

Part of the Civil Protection staff keeps working on the extraction of water and the rescue of material and equipment from their offices.

This has not prevented them from maintaining their punctual service to citizens; all personnel and vehicle units maintain their operation and care.
