State government highlights work to benefit San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel de Allende, Gto., September 30, 2021.- On behalf of Governor Diego Sinhue Rodríguez Vallejo, the head of the Secretariat for Sustainable Economic Development (SDES), Mauricio Usabiaga Díaz Barriga, led the ceremony of the Third Report of the 2018-2021 Municipal Administration of San Miguel de Allende, led by Mayor Luis Alberto Villareal García.

 The Governor recognizes the work that society and the government have done to achieve the results that have been presented today, likewise, also recognizes their effort and support, so that Guanajuato continues to advance in the fight against the pandemic and in the reactivation of life economic and social, ”he said.

Usabiaga Díaz Barriga highlighted that the State Government has supported the 46 municipalities with programs and works that promote development and provide better opportunities for Guanajuato families, as well as with actions that increase the competitiveness of the municipality and make it a good destination for investment.

The secretary highlighted some of the works completed in the three-year period, such as the construction of the El Pípila overpass, a great work that modernizes the municipality while respecting its architectural identity, which strengthens its mobility scheme and improves its urban image.

As well as the 2-level Teaching Unit at the Technological University of San Miguel de Allende, the rehabilitation of the Las Cañas rural road, the paving of Venustiano Carranza and Apatzingán streets in the San Luis Rey neighborhood, the fourth stage of paving the road The Rodríguez-Jesús María La Petaca to Pozo de Balderas and the rehabilitation of the Stirling Dickinson baseball stadium.

In education, more than 7,380 scholarships, support and financing have been awarded; and 1,391 laptops from the Mi Compu GTO program, among many other actions.

“In this way, with facts and with results of community benefit, the State Government demonstrates its support for San Miguel de Allende and its commitment to its inhabitants,” he said.

Finally, the state official recognized the work and effort of the Mayor, as well as each and every one of the members of the City Council for their will and disposition, for teaming up in favor of the families of the municipality.
