We’ll start with a short immersion into the invaluable and original process of WildWriting, then share 5 glorious days of enlivening practices in lyrical journaling, poetry, travel and food writing, memoir, dialogue and description, character development, all rooted in WildWriting in a hand-picked selection of gorgeous, fascinating San Miguel de Allende environs. Our Adventures will include: El Charco del Ingenio Botanical Gardens and nature preserve, to celebrate and drink in this vast native plant collection; Ignacio Martinez Mercado Tortilla-making and… wild Beauty!Desayuno, coffee and mural stroll at the Instituto Allende; ArtWrite at the galleries of Fabrica La Aurora, a converted sisal textile factory; WildWrite in the verdant Parque Juárez; Museo La Esquina: a giddy and playful collection of Folk Art: a writing romp; Chocolates y Churros San Agustín, listen to the swirl of conversation and write the stories surrounding us; Eat ‘n Write Taco Tour; dive into the sensual richness of our cuisine, finding language for scent, texture, and flavor; The Jardín, set to Mariachi music, as evening light embraces the soaring pink spires of Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel and the town starts her weekend festivities; Rosewood Rooftop Relax ‘n Write the breathtaking, horizon-wide views; Performance Playshop: we culminate our San Miguel WildWriting Adventure by giving a Public Reading of our new and best work!
