7 Guanajuato residents died in the San Antonio “Death Truck”, 3 from Cortazar, 3 from Celaya, and 1 from Valle de Santiago.

Seven Guanajuato migrants passed away in the trailer in San Antonio, Texas, according to Secretary for Migrants and International Liaison Juan Hernández.

“I was saddened to learn that seven compatriots, three from Cortazar, three from Celaya, and one from Valle de Santiago, have already been identified as fatal victims. It is requested that names not be released out of respect for the families and the deceased”, Juan Hernández said.

The secretary claimed that “The Governor has given the instruction to provide all the necessary support to the families of the deceased.”

Juan Hernández canceled meetings with representatives from the Mexican consulate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Mexican embassy in Washington to travel to San Antonio, Texas in order to identify the Guanajuato victims who perished in this catastrophe.
