In the city of Guanajuato, Gto., on Feb 28, 2020, some members of the civil society installed a table outside the municipal presidency where they are collecting signatures to request the revocation of Alejandro Navarro Saldaña’s mandate as mayor of the city of Guanajuato before the State Congress.

This occurred at the end of the Plenary Session of the City Council, where the opinion of the Municipal Public Services Commission was taken down to respect the costs of the previous year.

In this session of the City Council, the councilor of Morena, Oscar Aguayo Arredondo, said he would go to the State Congress to enter a request for revocation of the mandate of the municipal president, “who lacks humility to recognize his mistakes”, and he also called him “intolerant”.

“That is why at the end of this public session I will go to the State Congress to present the mandate revocation document and I hope there will be no reprisals,” he said.
