Solar eclipse will be visible in Mexico on April 8th

NASA reported that on April 8, 2024, there will be a solar eclipse in North America, which will leave a part of Mexico in complete darkness. 

The moon will be placed between the Earth and the Sun, causing the light not to pass, according to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) the phenomenon will last approximately four minutes.

It can be seen in Mérida, Campeche, Chetumal, Mazatlán, Durango, Torreón, Piedras Negras, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Monclova, as well as in Nayarit, and Chihuahua. 

NASA noted that it is one of the most impressive astronomical phenomena in recent years. 

On June 11, 1991, the last solar eclipse was recorded in Mexico.
