LGBTQ+ community activist fatally shot in Moroleón, Guanajuato

An LGBTQ+ community activist in Moroleón, Guanajuato, Ivanna Divina Jhons, was shot and killed in her business located at the corner of Puebla and Aguascalientes streets.

Iván Pantoja, also known as Divina Jhons, activist of the LGBTIQ+ community of this municipality.

The crime was committed when the activist and textile businesswoman was inside her clothing business.

She was 35 years old.

According to preliminary reports from local authorities, it was around 8:00 PM when people walking by the area reported via the Emergency number 911 that gunshots were heard in a clothing store and that a person was seen lying on the floor inside.

Public Security personnel responded to the report and upon arriving at the store marked with the number 46, they confirmed the report. They found the victim inside.

When the Red Cross paramedics arrived they stated that the victim no longer had vital signs.
