The government reaffirms support for the talent of young people with the 2023 Municipal Youth Award.
San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato – The municipal government of San Miguel de Allende renewed its commitment to local youth by awarding the ‘Municipal Youth Award 2023’ to all those young people from San Miguel who, due to their effort and innovation, have been exemplary for his way of overcoming obstacles and standing out in his area.
In an event organized by the Municipal Youth Care Institute (Imajsma) , outstanding young people were recognized with the ‘Youth Star’ in various categories, including Culture and Traditions, Sports Career, Environment, Artistic Expressions, Academia and Research, Entrepreneurial Ingenuity and Social Commitment.
For this edition, Imajsma implemented the ‘Culture and Traditions’ category within its nominations, and for the first time, a duo and/or group of participants were awarded; With which, the winners by category were as follows:
Culture and Traditions: Erick Saúl Espinoza Mendoza
Sports career: CBTis 60 Women’s Soccer Team
Environment: Remedios Miriam Reyes
Artistic Expressions: Cesar Iván López Cuéllar
Academy and Research: Ana Cecilia Tovar and Jorge Emmanuel Araiza
Ingenuity Entrepreneur: Jorge Luis Bustamante Olivares
Commitment Social: Iván Murillo Licea
As part of the event, the quality of support given to exemplary San Miguel residents was highlighted, revealing that a purse of 420 thousand pesos was allocated for this award, 60 thousand pesos per winner, which is the largest sum of support for young people in the entire state of Guanajuato.
