In the fascinating setting of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) 2024 in Madrid, Tania Castillo de la Peña , Director of Tourism of San Miguel de Allende, in Mexico.destination, hailed as one of the best places to live and visit globally, has won hearts with its unique charm.

San Miguel de Allende, although small in size, is presented as a giant in attractions. “It is an ideal place to live, vacation, or to get married. San Miguel Allende is a destination that everyone would like to experience,” Castillo de la Peña stated.

Tania highlighted the diversity of experiences that San Miguel offers. “It is a destination of romance, adventure, wines, something new in our offer. We have vineyards, hot springs, haute cuisine and hotels. We are ready to receive visitors from all over the world,” she continued.

The imposing, iconic parish of San Miguel was mentioned as one of the most recognized treasures. “When you say San Miguel, you immediately think about the parish. But not only that, we also have the sanctuary of Atotonilco, the Sistine Chapel of Mexico. That is why San MIguel is UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage City,” Tania explained.

“Art and culture are an integral part of San Miguel de Allende. We have great art galleries, renowned painters have left their mark here. Culture, tradition, art, food, hospitality, we have it all, SMA is a destination that invites you to return,” the Director of Tourism of San Miguel de Allende stated.

Addressing challenges for the future, Tania shared her reflections. “It is a big challenge. If you already have a highly visited destination, how do you make travelers visit you more? The key is to offer a broader offer without losing quality, and that is what distinguishes San Miguel de Allende,” Castillo de la Peña stressed.

With a warm invitation, Tania concluded: “We are waiting for you all in San Miguel de Allende.” The closing included thanks and the promise to return, highlighting the continuous evolution and news that await those who choose this unique destination.
