Morena’s candidate for the presidency of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, was accompanied by the candidate for governor, Alma Alcaraz.

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato.- Claudia Sheinbaum concluded her tour of Guanajuato in this municipality more than 2 hours late. She promised scholarships for all public school students, from preschool to high school, raising the minimum wage above inflation, 500,000 homes for workers, and consolidating the health system so that all Mexicans cam be affiliated.

The Morena candidate for the presidency of Mexico was accompanied by the candidate for governor, Alma Alcaraz, and by the delegation of candidates for senators, federal deputies and the leaders of the PT , the Green Party and Morena in Guanajuato.

“There are only two paths for June 2, to continue with the transformation or let the corruption return… We are going to win, we are going to win,” Sheinbaum said at the beginning of her speech.

The event was scheduled for 6:30 in the afternoon, but hours before, Claudia herself wrote on her social networks that she would be in San Miguel de Allende at 7:30 at night, but in the end she took the stage at 9:00, despite the fact that there were people waiting for her since 5:00 pm, many from Celaya, Comonfort, Dolores Hidalgo, San José Iturbide, San Luis de la Paz and Doctor Mora.

The presidential candidate walked for more than half an hour through the hallway before the stage, where in addition to signs of affection, she was able to read posters of those who are dissatisfied with the appointment of the candidates for the municipal presidency, in particular the cases of Ricardo Ferro in San Miguel de Allende and Julio González in Dolores Hidalgo.

Sheinbaum insisted that the fundamental principle of her campaign “is to govern so that the benefits reach everyone, for the good of all, the poor come first, that is our conviction.” Then, she stressed that the second principle is republican austerity.

She promised to maintain all of AMLO’s social (populist) programs, and to consolidate the minimum wage, “we are going to make sure that the increase in the minimum wage is higher than inflation, 10 percent starting in 2025.”

Sheinbaum said that Guanajuato needs 11,000 police officers. That her government will give investigative powers to the police. She will personally attend all the security meetings.

The presidential candidate added that she is going to open completely free Universidades del Bienestar and that she will support single mothers with 3 thousand pesos every two months on a constitutional basis.

Finally, she assured that in San Miguel de Allende she would support tourism, and at that moment a group of environmentalists shouted “Nooo!” and they made her lose focus and concentration; to which she ended up responding: “Well, we’ll analyze it.”

The rally ended shortly after 10:00 p.m.
