Mauricio Trejo of the PRI is clearly the favorite to win re-election in the race for mayor of San Miguel de Allende.
According to the recent results of the Demoscopia Digital survey, Trejo has 39.8% of the electoral preferences, surpassing by more than ten points Osvaldo García of the Morena party, who reaches 27.6%, and distancing himself considerably from Verónica Agundis of the PAN, with 16.4%.
Trejo has been one of the most valued mayors in the last two and a half years, standing out for his effective municipal management; Therefore, these results do not surprise followers of local politics. Voters prefer Trejo to continue leading the municipality in the next term, the poll suggests.

The survey carried out with scientific and statistical rigor, self-administered and applied with direct forms to the WhatsApp Messenger user through a professional multi-agent platform. Citizens of the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, GTO., men and women, over 18 years of age of all socioeconomic levels and from all the regions that make up the municipality.
A representative sample was raised with 1000 citizens of the municipality of San Miguel de Allende, GTO., assuming simple random sampling with an infinite population, the margin of error is +/- 3.8% under the assumption of maximum variance and is determined at +-95% confidence. The surveys were administered between April 12 and 13, 2024.
