The Pink Tide held marches in more than 100 cities in Mexico and abroad

On Sunday, May 19, numerous marches and rallies were held called by the so-called Pink Tide, a movement born in 2022 to defend the National Electoral Institute (INE), which is now conceived as one declared against the National Regeneration Movement (Morena ), the government he heads and its candidates, which is why he promotes the vote in favor of Xóchitl Gálvez Ruiz and other opposition candidates.

In Mexico City, the rally was in the Zócalo, where there were statements by party leaders, in addition to the participation of the presidential candidate herself and Santiago Taboada Cortina, Va Por CDMX‘s candidate for the Head of Government, who signed a manifesto in which they commit to fighting for unity and defending democracy.

Although the attention is in the country’s capital, the call was extended to more than 100 cities, in addition to others abroad with a significant presence of Mexicans. “We are ready to paint Mexico pink and say that we are moving forward in building a better Mexico for everyone,” the National Civic Front stated in its X account.

On social networks, citizens and political party activists who attended the different marches and rallies in the states shared images and videos to show that they joined the call made by Gálvez herself: “We are going to defeat the government of lies.” with the truth in the heart. I need all of you in this fight,” the presidential candidate asked all of her supporters.
