The Municipal Government of San Miguel de Allende reported in a statement that the municipal president, Mauricio Trejo Pureco, is hospitalized due to appendicitis; They report his health status as good and stable.

The mayor is in a period of recovery under medical observation and, according to the document, he continues to monitor the municipality, with the direct support of the heads of the cabinet coordination and the Government Secretariat and City Council.

“This fact does not interfere with the performance of his duties as head of the municipal presidency and he continues to work for the benefit of the population in San Miguel de Allende,” the statement concludes.
