Anime NYC is the East Coast’s largest anime convention, dedicated to celebrating Japanese pop culture, manga, and animation.

Launched only eight years ago, Anime NYC has quickly become the fastest-growing convention on the East Coast. Nearing 100,000 attendees and filling New York’s famed Javits Center, Anime NYC will take place on August 23-25, 2024, and will bring together passionate fans and leading creators from around the world to highlight the heart of the Japanese entertainment world.

Offering fans one of the most unique immersive cultural experiences of any convention, Anime NYC will host a sold-out exhibit hall featuring hundreds of exhibitors, a curated fan-favorite Artist Alley, an entire area devoted to Cosplay dubbed Destination Cosplay, the ever-popular Japanese Food Hall, numerous talent-filled panels including premieres from both Netflix and GKids, several unique and popular hololive Stage World Tours and more. Participating companies include Aniplex, Bandai Namco, Crunchyroll, Netflix, Hulu, GKIDS, HIDIVE, Kodansha, VIZ Media, and Yen Press.

“This year’s Anime NYC is set to be our most exciting yet, with nearly 100,000 fans coming together to celebrate the heart of Japanese entertainment,” commented MK Goodwin, Anime NYC Event Director. “From the debut of the American Manga Awards to the world premiere of Terminator Zero and our collaboration with Play NYC, we’re offering an unparalleled experience that highlights the best of anime, gaming, and cultural immersion. We can’t wait to share this incredible event with both new and returning fans.”

Anime NYC has also partnered with Play NYC, NYC’s premier independent developer gaming convention, to offer an 80,000-square-foot gaming hall to the event. Additionally, the first-ever American Manga Awards will be held on Thursday night (August 22nd) prior to the opening of Anime NYC in conjunction with The Japan Society.
