LGBTQ+ community criticizes forum against gender ideology in San Miguel de Allende and the event is canceled

The forum on gender ideology in San Miguel de Allende generates rejection among LGBTQ+ groups in the municipality for the following reasons.

The promotion of the forum entitled “Gender ideology and the destruction of identity” in San Miguel de Allende has generated reactions within the LGBT+ community.

While the Colectivo Colores SMA calls on the host hotel to reconsider holding the event, the undersecretary of Sexual and Gender Diversity in the state regretted the organization of this type of event, which represents “regression in respect for human rights.”

In the parish atriums of San Miguel de Allende, the conference that will be given by Sara Huff on October 12 at the Hotel Real de Minas is promoted through posters, organized by the group ‘Dimensión Vida’, belonging to the diocese of Celaya.

During the forum ‘Gender ideology and the destruction of identity’, the organizers assure that attendees will learn about topics such as what gender ideology is and how it emerged, what human nature is, the legalization of pedophilia, the health, legal, and family implications of gender ideology, and even how to protect oneself from it.

Through social media, the Undersecretary of Sexual and Gender Diversity, Ricardo García, expressed his concern and disagreement with the holding of this type of event and reiterated his support for the community of the municipality and the state.

For its part, the Colectivo Colores SMA urged the venue hosting the forum to reconsider its decision to host this event headed by Sara Winter, “who is known for promoting hatred and discrimination towards LGBT+ people.”
