Luis Miguel has postponed a series of concerts scheduled across several cities in Mexico, including two performances in the capital, due to health reasons, the Mexico City Arena said in a statement on Thursday night (Oct. 24).

The Mexican-raised superstar was expected to perform at the venue on Thursday, but just hours before, fans were alerted on social media that the show was postponed due to the singer’s health but did not receive further details. “El Sol de Mexico,” as he’s also known, had another show scheduled at the Mexico City Arena for Monday (Oct. 28).

“Due to force majeure and medical recommendations, the concerts scheduled for October 24 in Mexico City, October 27 in Pachuca, October 28 in CDMX, October 29 in Querétaro, and October 31 in Irapuato will be rescheduled,” the statement said.

Billboard Español has reached out to Luis Miguel’s representatives for further information.

Tour promoters noted that the tickets will be valid for the new dates, which will be announced soon.

The “La Incondicional” hitmaker is scheduled to close his international tour in Mexico City with two dates at the GNP Seguros Stadium on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, according to the Mexican promoter Ocesa. At the moment, there has been no information about any change of date for these concerts.

The artist has chosen the Mexican capital as the setting for one of the most important moments of his career to make a spectacular close to his Luis Miguel Tour 2023-24, which earned $318.2 million and sold 2.2 million tickets in its first 146 concerts, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. This made it the highest-grossing tour of all time among Latin artists.
