San Miguel de Allende will host one of the largest artisan gatherings in the country.
As part of the “Original” project, promoted by the Federal Government, artisan gatherings were announced, with San Miguel de Allende as one of the venues for this year.
To promote Mexico’s cultural richness and defend original creative communities, a public call was issued for artisans to be part of this federal project in 2025.
As part of the program, gatherings on textile art, natural fibers, natural dyes, and ceramics will be held, where creators can gather in assemblies and events about handicraft production.
“Original” is an ongoing cultural movement promoted by the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness about the value of artisanal work and the rights of collective property.
As part of the 2025 efforts to promote and reflect on the region’s handicraft production, the Ceramics Gathering will be held in San Miguel de Allende from September 11 to 14, 2025.
