Mexican surfer Raúl Noyola to perform in Guanajuato

The first Mexican that won a Surfing World Series event, Raul Noyola will take surfing in Guanajuato, where he was invited to conduct a clinic in the La Caldera surfing pool in the municipality of Abasolo, Guanajuato.

It will be the first time that the five-time national champion will give surf lessons in Mexico at the first Surf Festival, to be held on August 3-4 in the state of Guanajuato, with the support of the Mexican Federation of Surfing.

Raúl Noyola, who is originally from Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, was the first Mexican to win a World Series surfing competition, taking the first place in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, in 2001.

“It’s really important to make a huge communication campaign and organize workshops and special courses throughout Mexico,  because this sport will officially participate in the Olympic Games of Tokyo 2020, and there is Mexican talent that we must suppor”. Our Olympic dream becomes a reality and on behalf of the entire surfing family, we are very happy,” said Noyola.

Recently, Oaxacan Raul Noyola participated in the Acapulco Open, in the coast of Guerrero, as part of his preparation for the second World Surfing Championship, to be held from 6 to 14 August in Jacó, Costa Rica, with the endorsement of the International Surfing Association (ISA).
