German companies to invest in San Miguel

With a projected investment of 85 million USD over a 5 year period, a German complex arrived in Guanajuato, integrated by three companies: BHTC, Rafi and Langer Mexico.

The Industrial Park Poligono Empresarial of San Miguel de Allende was chosen by the Germans for their investment, which will initially generate 120 direct jobs.

Municipal authorities were present at the event, along with the state governor, Miguel Marquez Marquez and Ricardo Villareal Garcia, mayor of San Miguel de Allende.

German firms representatives and the ambassador of Gerany to Mexico, Viktor Eibling were also present.

The main company, BTCH, is dedicated to the production of electronic boards and assembly of plastic parts for automobile air conditioning control systems.

In order to stock their supply chain, the other two companies came to our country with BTCH.

Governor Marquez Marquez emphasized the importance of industrializing the state; even if the main activity of the city is tourism, as in the case of San Miguel de Allende, .

“30 German companies have already invested over 1.7 billion USD in Guanajuato, generating more than 11 thousand jobs. Today the automotive cluster of Guanajuato is considered as one of the most important in the country.”

Marquez Marquez also mentioned that trade relations between Germany and Mexico have been strengthened by the arrival of this capital from the European country.

For 2019 a production of 4.5 million climate control module units has been forecasted, these will be exported to countries such as the United States, Germany and China, among others.

Martin Henselmann, Theo and Andreas Beil Teuner, BHTC, Rafi and Langer major executives, agreed that their presence in Guanajuato will encourage their enterprises to improve their production and acknowledged the support of state and municipal authorities for the development of their projects.
