Seven hotels are currently being built in Celaya, Guanajuato, five of them have plans to open their doors before the end of 2016.
These seven hotels for Celaya represent an investment of 890 million pesos (46.8 million USD), 942 new hotel rooms and 310 new direct jobs.
According to the state director of Economic Development, David Orozco Pérez: “one of these hotels’ inauguration is just ‘around the corner’, they will open their doors to the public in September of this year; three other hotels are expecting to start operations in November, and a fifth property is looking forward to open in December.”

“Real Inn” almost ready
The most advanced of these construction works is the “Real Inn” hotel, located on the Boulevard right across the street from “La Punta” Shopping Center; the building reports a 95% progress and will begin operations in September 2016.

Then, Hyatt Place with an 85% progress in construction, is located on “Cano de Compuertas del Campestre” avenue, next to “Galerías Celaya” shopping mall, and it is expected to open in November, 2016.

The Candlewood hotel, which is located on the Northeast “Eje Luis Donaldo Colosio”; reports a 65% advance in its construction and estimates the opening date around November this year.
With an investment of 100 million pesos (5.2 million USD), this hotel will feature 120 rooms and is expected to generate 50 new direct jobs.
Finally, the City Express, which is also built on the Northeast “Eje Luis Donaldo Colosio”; registers an advance of 56% and it is also expected to start operations in the month of November. It will feature 120 rooms and will create 50 new direct jobs.
