This state government campaign aims to award those local companies that fullfill the quality standards necessary to compete in international markets.

Currently, more than 500 local companies are in the process of receiving the ‘Marca Guanajuato’ distinctive.

Firms and companies in different sectors, such as agriculture, arts & crafts, production, automotive, construction, mining, leather footwear and fashion textiles, along with other local “small and medium enterprises” (PyMES) are contending for this new recognition.

In order to acquire this state certification, the candidate companies must go through an evaluation process and fulfill certain requirements.

Once the process is complete, the “Marca Ganajuato” seal is granted and it is valid for one full year.
